みなで仲良くなれるかな

最近、朝ドラの再放送を観るたびに、ある歌のフレーズが耳に残る。

「君と私は仲良くなれるかな　この世界が終わるその前に」

AIさんの持つ元気で明るいイメージとは対照的な、どこか切ないこの歌詞を聞くたびに、いつも考えさせられる。

テレビニュースではアメリカの新政権の話題が絶えない。政治や経済の専門家ではないので細かいことはわからないが、何やら複雑な問題が絡み合っていることだけは確かだ。爆発音と建物が崩れる映像には胸が痛む。

日常生活の中でも、人と人との関係は常に摩擦を生む。アンガーマネジメントでは「怒りを感じたら6秒我慢すると冷静になれる」と言われる。それならば、ケンカしそうになったら先に6秒間「ごめんね」と謝ってしまえばいいのではないか？

例えば、U字工事のように「ごめんね！ごめんね〜！」と連呼するのも一つの手かもしれない。

……いや、逆に火に油を注ぐ可能性もあるか。

ただ、利害関係のない相手ならば、素直に折れて謝る方がいいことも多い。多くの怒りは、相手を思う気持ちのすれ違いから生まれるからだ。

しかし、ビジネスの世界では話が違う。

例えば『孤独のグルメ』で井之頭五郎が、納期遅れのクレームを受けて、自腹で損失を補填するエピソードがあった。中小企業の経営者なら誰もが共感するだろう。理不尽な要求に対して、ただ謝るだけでは済まされないこともある。五郎は散歩とうまい飯で怒りを昇華させていたが、現実の経営者にとって、それだけで済ませるのは難しい。

話は少しそれた。

それでも私は願いたい。

この世界が終わる前に、「君と私」が仲良くなれることを。

ちなみに、この歌のタイトル『アルデバラン』は「おうし座α星」の名前だという。

調べてみると、秒速54kmの速さで太陽系から遠ざかっているらしい。

まるで、決して手の届かない遠い世界の話のようだ。

だが、手を伸ばすことを諦めてはいけない。

なぜなら私たちはまだ、この世界に生きているのだから。 Can we all get along?

Lately, every time I watch reruns of the morning drama, a phrase from a certain song lingers in my ears: "Can you and I get along before this world ends?" In contrast to the energetic and cheerful image that AI has, this somewhat melancholic lyric always makes me think.

On TV news, discussions about the new American administration are incessant. Not being a political or economic expert, I don't grasp the intricacies, but it's clear that complex issues are intertwined. Images of explosions and collapsing buildings are heart-wrenching.

Even in daily life, human relationships constantly create friction. Anger management suggests that if you wait six seconds after feeling anger, you can regain composure. So, wouldn't it be better to just say "sorry" for six seconds before a quarrel? Maybe repeatedly saying "sorry, sorry~!" like U-shaped construction is one option. …But then again, it might add fuel to the fire. However, if it's someone with no stake in the matter, it's often better to just apologize. Many angers arise from misunderstandings of caring.

However, it's different in the business world. For example, there was an episode in "Kodoku no Gourmet" where Goro Inogashira compensated for losses out of his own pocket due to a late delivery claim. Small business owners would all empathize. There are times when simply apologizing doesn't suffice for unreasonable demands. Goro sublimated his anger with a walk and good food, but for real business owners, that alone is difficult.

I digress a little.

Still, I wish that "you and I" could get along before this world ends. By the way, the song title "Aldebaran" is the name of "Taurus α star." Upon research, it seems to be moving away from the solar system at a speed of 54km per second. It's like a story from a distant, unreachable world.

But we must not give up on reaching out. Because we are still living in this world.
