「楽して儲けてぇ～」とつい本音が出ることがある。
特に気を許した経営者仲間との会話では、ふとそういった言葉が口をついて出るものだ。還暦を過ぎた今も、毎日オンライン面談を繰り返し、四六時中、会員のマッチング支援に心を砕いていると、愚痴の一つも出てしまうというものだ。しかし、長年の経験から言えるのは、「楽して儲ける」という考えには、往々にして良いことがないということだ。
まず、「楽して儲かる」というフレーズは詐欺師がよく使う常とう手段だ。世の中には甘い言葉で人を引き寄せ、簡単に利益を得られるように見せかけるビジネスが溢れている。だが、そんなものに引っかかると、元も子もない。過去の経験を振り返ると、楽して儲かる話には必ず裏があるという事例を何度も見聞きしてきた。
次に、仮に楽して儲かったとしても、誰かがその代償を支払っている場合が多い。ビジネスにおいては、すべての取引や成功には対価が伴う。自分が楽をして得た利益の裏で、どこかで誰かが不利益を被っている可能性が高い。それは、長期的に見れば自分にとってもマイナスになるものだ。
そして最後に、楽して儲けたとしても、自分自身が成長しないということだ。ビジネスは自己研鑽の場であり、日々の小さな積み重ねが自分を磨き、成長させるものだ。楽をして大きな成果を得るというのは、一見魅力的に思えるが、実際には自分のスキルや知識が向上しないため、長続きしない。その場限りの成功に終わってしまう可能性が高い。
このように考えると、結局のところ、コツコツと積み重ねることこそが、長期的な成功の鍵であるという結論に行きつく。

私自身、ビジネスにおいて何度もその道のりを歩んできた。そして、その道のりこそが最終的には大きな成果を生むのだという確信を持っている。これからも、地道に積み重ね、成長を続けていきたいと考えている。

Sometimes, I find myself blurting out, "I wish I could make easy money!" Especially in casual conversations with fellow entrepreneurs, such words slip out almost unconsciously. Even now, well past the age of sixty, I find myself in daily online meetings and constantly focusing on supporting the matchmaking of my members. It’s only natural that a bit of complaining surfaces here and there. However, from years of experience, I can confidently say that the idea of "making easy money" rarely leads to anything good.
Firstly, the phrase "easy money" is often a common tactic used by scammers. The world is full of businesses that lure people in with sweet promises, making it seem like profits can be easily earned. But if you fall for such schemes, you’ll end up losing everything. Looking back, I’ve come across countless cases where so-called easy money always had a hidden catch.
Secondly, even if you do manage to make easy money, it's usually at someone else's expense. In business, every transaction or success comes with a cost. There’s a high chance that while you’re reaping the benefits effortlessly, someone else is paying the price behind the scenes. In the long run, this can come back to harm you.
Lastly, making easy money doesn’t help you grow. Business is a place for self-improvement, and it’s the accumulation of small efforts every day that polishes your skills and fosters growth. While the idea of easily achieving big results might seem attractive, the truth is that without improving your own skills and knowledge, any success you achieve won’t last. More often than not, such successes are fleeting.
When I reflect on this, I inevitably conclude that steady, incremental efforts are the true key to long-term success. I’m reminded of a quote from baseball legend Ichiro Suzuki: "I believe the only way to reach extraordinary heights is by accumulating small things, one by one." Behind his success lies a steady commitment to putting in consistent, daily effort. Resisting the temptation of easy money and moving forward step by step is what leads to genuine success—this, I’ve come to realize again and again.
I have walked this path many times in business. And I am convinced that this very path will ultimately lead to the greatest achievements. Moving forward, I plan to continue building on these small steps and keep growing—sometimes grumbling to myself, "I wish I could make easy money…"
