北海道は寒冷地のため、年齢の重ね方が特殊である。なんと、２年に一度しか歳を取らない。
だから、私は今日やっと３１歳になった。
……んなわけはない。いつものおやじギャグだ。
今年で６２歳になった。いよいよ年金受給開始まで、あと３年となった。
戦後間もない頃、日本人の平均寿命は５０歳だった。それを思えば、６０代というのは当時なら「老境」と言われる年齢だったのかもしれない。実際、自分が子どもの頃は、還暦を迎えた人はみなよぼよぼに見えたものだ。
まさか自分がその領域に足を踏み入れるとは思いもしなかった。だが、人生はなるようにしかならない。この古くなった着ぐるみを纏い、綻びを騙しながら、これからも精一杯生きていこうと思う。
今日は誕生日だ。誕生日とは、自分をこの世に送り出してくれた両親に感謝する日である。同時に、これまで自分を育み、助けてくれた人々への恩を胸に刻む日でもある。
これまで支えてくれたすべての人へ、心からありがとうと言いたい。そして、これからの時間も大切に生きていきたい。
昨日、富士通シニアエバンジェリストの松本国一氏と面談する機会を得た。
氏は、デジタルトランスフォーメーションやサイバーセキュリティを専門とする講演者であり、1991年に富士通に入社。情報・通信・モバイル分野で幅広い業務を経験し、2022年にはFirst Creative Agentを設立。現在は代表エバンジェリストとして活動している。著書『20分で誰でもわかるサイバーセキュリティ「超」入門』も出版し、多くのメディアや教育機関で活躍している。
そんな松本氏と話す中で、私は「３年後に引退し、３０代の若き経営者に事業承継したい」と伝えた。すると氏は、世界の平均年齢が約３０歳であることに触れ、私の決意を激励してくれた。その言葉が、心に響いた。
歳を重ねると、時計の針の速度が速く感じられる。だからこそ、時間の有効活用がますます重要になる。
誰と出会い、誰と共に過ごすのか？
そのために、今まで培ってきた知見をどう活かすのか？
2028年11月23日まで、あと３年半。
私は、本気で日本を変え、世界に羽ばたく経営者を生み出すコミュニティを創りたい。
私は1000名の経営者コミュニティを創りたい。
そのために、「なぜ？」と問い続ける。
そして、同じ問いを投げかけ続ける。
「あなたはいかなる経営者を目指し、なぜ起業したのか？」
問い、問われる中で、より強固な軸ができ、新たな方向性が生まれる。
私自身、答えを持っているわけではない。
しかし、共に歩む中で、それを見つけることができたなら、これほど嬉しいことはない。

Hokkaido, being a cold region, has a unique way of aging. Supposedly, we only age once every two years.
So today, I have finally turned 31.
...Of course, that’s just an old man’s joke.
This year, I turned 62. Now, there are only three years left until I start receiving my pension.
Right after World War II, the average lifespan of Japanese people was around 50 years. Thinking about that, being in my 60s might have been considered “old age” back then. In fact, when I was a child, people who reached their sixties all looked frail and elderly to me.
I never imagined that I would step into that realm myself. But life unfolds as it will. Wearing this aging costume, patching up its fraying seams, I intend to continue living my life to the fullest.
Today is my birthday. A birthday is a day to give thanks to the parents who brought me into this world. At the same time, it is also a day to engrave in my heart the gratitude I owe to all those who have nurtured and supported me along the way.
To everyone who has supported me thus far, I want to say a heartfelt thank you. And I want to cherish the time that lies ahead.
Yesterday, I had the opportunity to meet with Kunikazu Matsumoto, a Senior Evangelist at Fujitsu.
Mr. Matsumoto is a renowned speaker specializing in digital transformation and cybersecurity. He joined Fujitsu in 1991, gaining extensive experience in information, communications, and mobile industries. In 2022, he founded First Creative Agent, where he currently serves as the Chief Evangelist. He is also the author of A Super Beginner’s Guide to Cybersecurity in 20 Minutes, and he is active in various media and educational institutions.
During our conversation, I shared my plan: “In three years, I want to retire and pass my business on to a young entrepreneur in their 30s.”
Mr. Matsumoto responded by noting that the global average age is around 30 and encouraged me in my decision. His words resonated deeply with me.
As we age, time seems to pass more quickly. That is why making the most of it becomes even more critical.
Who do we meet, and with whom do we spend our time?
How can we apply the knowledge and experience we have accumulated so far?
There are three and a half years left until November 23, 2028.
I am serious about transforming Japan and creating a community that will nurture entrepreneurs who will make an impact on the world.
I want to build a community of 1,000 entrepreneurs.
For that, I will continue to ask, “Why?”
And I will keep posing this question to others:
“What kind of entrepreneur do you aspire to be, and why did you start your business?”
Through questioning and being questioned, a stronger core is forged, and new directions emerge.
I do not claim to have all the answers.
But if, through walking this journey together, we can discover them, nothing would bring me greater joy.
The second hand of my clock has just begun to move.
